In 2011 the practice decided to establish a Patient Reference Group. In the past the practice had obtained feedback from national surveys carried out by the Department of Health but felt that more specific and targeted questioning would be more effective. The practice recognises the importance of developing a positive and constructive relationship with its patients which will provide feedback on patient and community needs, concerns and interests. The PRG will provide patients with the opportunity to provide their input and influence into the way facilities and services are planned and executed.
A virtual PRG was established and the practice now undertakes annual patient surveys to identify priority areas for the practice to address within the next year. Utilising the results of this survey the practice develops an action plan which is emailed to all the PRG members for their consideration. The action plan, including comments from the PRG members, is included in the PRG annual report which you can access via the link below.

We would also like to take the opportunity to attach a link to our practice booklet. This informs you of the services provided by the practice including details on opening times, how to access the practice and the arrangements for out of hours cover when the surgery is closed. It also includes detail of individual GP consulting times. We hope that you will find this useful.

We would like to thank those patients who have taken the time to join our PRG and provided feedback on the action plan. We hope that the PRG continues to grow, engaging more patients and obtaining more opinions.
